Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
A Heritage Safaris tour guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala and take you on a 10 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a visit at Equator for photographs and a stopover in Mbarara for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Centre. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is renowned for its Mountain Gorillas. It has rich environment involving 95 types of well evolved animal species and 345 types of bird. As you show up in the evening and checking in your lodge, rest remembering your long held up experience with the mountain gorillas the next day.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Experience.
You will have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing before the gorilla trek beginning at 8:00am. Bwindi is home to more than of all mountain gorillas on Earth. The trekking experience takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas from the previous day. Make sure to carry a raincoat, drinking water, wilderness boots and your packed lunch. Each snapshot of the Gorilla trekking is extraordinary and astounding as you watch them playing, eating, coupling, and the young people swinging on the tree limbs. This is a lifetime experience and exceptional.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your initial morning breakfast, move to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the second biggest national park in Uganda with 95 types of warm blooded animals and 600 types of birds. Look out for tree climbing lions in Ishasha. After lunch, take an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which connects the water stream from Lake George to Lake Edward. Look out for hippos, crocodiles, and water birds like pelicans, storks, herons, kingfishers and so on.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive – Return to Kampala
Leave your accommodation early morning. Pass through the tremendous savannah for a morning game drive to notice the creatures at the foot of Rwenzori Mountains. Animals you may spot include; elephants, lions, kobs, topi, hyenas, and enormous crowds of buffalos, warthogs, bushbucks and waterbucks. Later you will be driven back to Kampala or Entebbe airport to find your flight back home.
