Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be received by a Heritage Safaris tour guide who will brief you on the 7 day safari in Rwanda and thereafter transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. Arrive at the lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation options: Five Volcanoes, Volcano Manor, Tiloreza Volcano.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience.
Early morning breakfast, after prepare for mountain gorilla tracking briefing from the authorities of the park. Thereafter set off for the track into the forest searching for the gorillas. You will be allowed up to one hour with the gorillas for photography and observation. Ensure that you bring with you packed lunch and water, rain gear, insect repellent, sun screen, hat and walkable shoes. Depending on the time you will spend while tracking you may choose to take an additional activity. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Visit the Dian Fossey Research Centre
Early morning breakfast, after trek to the renowned Dian Fossey Research Centre and Grave Yard, where Dr. Fossey, a distinguished primatologist spent close to two decades bringing into the light, learning and safeguarding the endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas.

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest.
After your early morning breakfast, you will depart to Nyungwe Forest. This Forest has a diversity of surroundings including montane forest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps and bogs and is very mountainous as well. It gives some of the most excellent Golden Monkey trekking experiences over the canopy trekking trail in East Africa.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience.
Early morning breakfast, and then go for the morning Chimpanzee trekking experience in the jungle in search of colonies of habituated chimpanzees. Other animals in the forest include the grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, Angolan Columbus, L’Hoest monkeys and owl-faced monkeys.

Day 6: Visit Genocide Memorial Centre
Drive back to Kigali and visit the Genocide Memorial Centre where remains of thousands of Tutsis and moderate Hutus are conserved.

Day 7: Departure.
You will check out of the hotel and be transferred to the airport for your departure flight out.
