Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Early morning pick up by a Heritage Safaris tour guide who will take you on a tour of Kigali City and then transfer you to Volcanoes National Park driving through a beautiful country side and a home to the mountain gorillas. You will arrive at the lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience.
After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. This will be followed by entering the forest in search of the gorillas in the forest which may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour. Ascend for a community walk to the Banyarwanda people and enjoy their different performances and also explore more about their unique culture.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking – Dian Fossey Hike
Have an early morning breakfast and then proceed to the park headquarters to trek golden monkeys along with other primates in the forest. You can also take a hike to the Karisoke Research Center for a visit to the Dian Fossey Tombs. Along the way, you may come across some primates such as the black and white Colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, L’hoests monkeys, and some bird species, after you will be transferred to Lake Kivu.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali – Departure.
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu to the different islands on the lake and later embark on a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
